Our stated promise to supply coastal-fresh fish means that our quality control procedures have to be extremely robust.
When we receive our fish, our very experienced buyer will thoroughly check it for appearance, odour, freshness, size, condition, packaging and composition; if it does not meet our exacting standards it will be returned to the supplier. Consequently, we consistently receive high-quality fish.
Our production facility has previously been awarded an Issue 5 grade (an ‘A’ grade award) from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard. It is a comprehensive certification requiring compliance with over 500 clauses across all areas of product safety, legality and quality, and is recognised as the benchmark for food standards.
We are now certified under the ISO 22000 standard for food safety. Similar to the BRC, this internationally recognised accreditation covers a vast range of requirements based on Codex Alimentarius HACCP principles ensuring best quality and safe product every time.
This means you can have full confidence that your products have been impeccably handled and should a query arise from your customers, we will have all of the traceability paperwork to hand for you.
Uniquely to our sector, our customers received their fish in sealed packaging to protect the integrity of the product.
